Meeting for 6th Semester Students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Silesian University of Technology

Members of the PZITB Gliwice Branch organized a meeting for 6th semester students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology. The event aimed to introduce various career paths in the construction industry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, outside the university setting. Other students from the faculty interested in their future professional careers were also welcome to attend.

The meeting took place at Hearts Pub, located at 29 Pszczyńska Street in Gliwice. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions both in the forum and individually, while experts provided practical advice on CV preparation and skills that are valuable to develop during internships and work placements.

The discussion and lecture panel included specialists from different areas of the construction sector:

• a representative of a company producing software for the construction industry, working as a technical support engineer, conducting training sessions, and resolving issues in calculation software;
• staff members from the university and one of the construction-related offices;
• our representative, who shared in a very engaging way insights about working in the Planning and Assembly Organization Office (assistant designer in a design office, involved in preparing technical documentation and implementing structural projects).

The meeting was an excellent opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of the construction job market, gain practical career advice, and establish contacts with experienced professionals.
